Data collected
The website collects three categories of data:
- Contact form: surname, first name, email, telephone, message. Providing them is optional; not providing them prevents your request from being processed.
- Consent cookie (pz_consent): a unique identifier with a duration of 6 months, placed only after your explicit choice, purpose = to remember and prove your consent.
- Technical fingerprint of the consent proof: with each click on Accept or Refuse, your browser is transformed into a cryptographic fingerprint (HMAC-SHA256 with a monthly rotating key). Your IP address is not part of this fingerprint and is not kept. No browser identifier is kept in clear text.
Legal bases for the processing
- Contact form: performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request (art. 6.1.b of the GDPR) when your message concerns a mandate or a contract; failing that, legitimate interest in responding to the enquiries addressed to us (art. 6.1.f of the GDPR).
- Consent cookie and retention of the proof of consent: compliance with a legal obligation (art. 6.1.c of the GDPR), article 7 §1 requiring the controller to be able to demonstrate that consent was given. The placement of the cookie strictly necessary for the operation of the site does not itself require consent.
- Technical security logs: legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f of the GDPR).
- Any accounting and legal obligations: compliance with a legal obligation (art. 6.1.c of the GDPR).
No automated decision, including profiling, is made on the basis of this data.

The site keeps its own page-view counter, hosted in Luxembourg with the rest of the site. It records one thing only: for a given day, a given page and a given language, a number of views. Nothing else is written.
This counter places no cookie. It records neither your IP address, nor your browser, nor any visitor identifier, and reconstructs no journey: two visits by the same person and two visits by different people are strictly indistinguishable in it. It therefore does not allow you to be identified, either directly or indirectly. No data is passed to an audience analytics provider: the site uses none and will use none.
A measurement finer than this aggregate count now exists. It is subject to your consent — it does not start without it — and it is described in detail just below.
Detailed audience measurement (only if you accept it)
It serves one purpose only: knowing which pages of this site are genuinely useful, and which are not. It rests solely on your consent — if you have not given it, none of what follows takes place.
If you accept the « Audience measurement » purpose, the site records, on its own servers, the way you browse it: a visit identifier, the pages viewed and their order, the language, the time each page actually remained visible on screen (counting stops when the tab moves to the background), where you came from — search engine, direct access or another site, never the exact address you came from — and contact gestures: opening the form, starting to fill it in, submitting it, clicking an e-mail address, clicking a phone number, clicking the quotation request button.
This measurement does not extend beyond your visit. The identifier is drawn at random — it is not computed from your IP address, your browser, or any technical fingerprint — and it is placed in a cookie that disappears 30 minutes after your last page, and after 12 hours in every case. Nothing recognises you from one visit to the next: if you come back tomorrow, it will be, for us, a visit unrelated to today's. We therefore know neither who you are nor how many times you have come.
No IP address is stored in this measurement, not even in shortened or hashed form. No form content enters it. No data is transmitted to a third party: the system is developed and hosted by us, in Luxembourg, together with the rest of the site.
This data is kept for 12 months, then automatically deleted.
If you change your mind, open « Customise » at the bottom of the page and untick « Audience measurement »: recording stops immediately, and the data of the current visit is erased. Earlier visits, however, can no longer be found — since nothing links them to your browser, we have no means of designating them, which is also what makes them say nothing about you. For the same reason, we are unable to provide you with « your » past data: no key exists to retrieve it, and we will not create one in order to answer a request. Your other rights are exercised normally with the contact indicated below.
Recipients
The data is accessible to authorised staff of Petzerhiel S.à r.l.-S, to our technical hosting processor (NETsite.lu SARL, Luxembourg) and to our messaging provider (Open-Xchange, operated in the EuroDNS environment) for the routing of e-mails. Certain technical maintenance operations may involve access from the United Kingdom, a country that is the subject of an adequacy decision of the European Commission within the meaning of art. 45 of the GDPR, a decision of limited duration. No data is transmitted to third parties for commercial purposes.
Server logs
Our host NETsite.lu SARL (Luxembourg) automatically records, for security and proper operation reasons: IP address, date and time of access, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages visited. Hosting processor
NETsite.lu SARL (B.P. 16, L-8505 Noerdange, Luxembourg) acts as a processor within the meaning of art. 28 of the GDPR for the hosting of the site and the storage of the data. Data hosted in Luxembourg, at Technopolis (Cessange).
Messaging processor
The electronic messaging service relies on the Open-Xchange solution, provided in the EuroDNS environment. This provider acts as a processor within the meaning of art. 28 of the GDPR for the routing and storage of e-mails.
Retention periods
- Consent cookie and associated record in the database: 6 months from your choice, then automatic renewal of the request.
- Proof of consent, kept in order to be able to demonstrate compliance with the GDPR in the event of an inspection: 36 months after the expiry of the consent, then automatic daily purge.
- Data prior to 5 January 2026 (consents collected before the redesign of the banner): kept for 36 months from that date, i.e. until 5 January 2029, then automatic purge.
- Contact form: your data is kept for up to 3 years from the last exchange, except in the case of a legal obligation, litigation or an ongoing contractual relationship; it is then deleted or anonymised.
Security measures
Petzerhiel implements technical and organisational measures suited to the nature of the data processed. Your IP address is used for the duration of the request in order to limit repeated attempts — on the contact form, on the recording of your cookie choice and on access to the site administration. It is not stored. Legal basis: legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR).
Withdrawal of consent
You may at any time withdraw your consent via the « Withdraw my consent » button available on this page. Your cookie is immediately erased and the withdrawal is recorded for compliance with art. 7 §3 of the GDPR.
